Free Movie! Sugarcane at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 12, followed by a 20-minute discussion. The award-winning film follows the investigation of St. Joseph's Indian Residential School in British Columbia, Canada, and shares stories from survivors of the school.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, hundreds of residential schools in Canada and the United States attempted to erase Indian culture and "civilize" Indigenous youth. Many were Christian mission schools, supported by the government.

Sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church, Peterborough United Methodist Church, and Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church.
